Committed to equal opportunities
At Dove Bank Primary school, we are committed to equal opportunities for all of our pupils.
We strive to remove barriers to learning to ensure that all children can reach their full potential, whatever their special educational need or disability (SEND).
The majority of pupils with SEND in our school are provided for within the class by slight adjustments to work, resources or teaching methods.
The best approaches
As inclusive as possible
Whilst we strive to be as inclusive as possible, we recognise that sometimes, to achieve their potential, children need very different strategies, teaching styles or learning provision.
The Headteacher, SENDCo, teachers and support staff work with parents and outside agencies to ensure the best approaches possible are used in order to support children with SEND.
See the Dove Bank Local Offer and find out more about the Leicestershire County Council SEND offer.
At Dove Bank Primary school, we have a Special Educational Needs and Disability Co-ordinator (SENDCo).
Mrs Lydia Leeson oversees the day to day operation of the school's SEND policy and co-ordinates provision for children with SEND across the school.
If you would like to speak to the SENDCo,please call the office on 01530 262371 or click below to contact us by email.
